I’ll give you 5 stars with an asterisk. I had no problem with the work itself. Your man called before arriving quite on time and did what I asked him to do. However, I got the distinct impression that your guys are trained to go Through a “scripted” sales presentation, no matter what the customer says. Throw it against the wall and see What sticks? Run it up the pole and see if anyone salutes? I have a strong background concerning things Mechanical and understand the concept of wear-n-tear over a period of time. If a door roller is wobbly, well, They do that when new. Replace a cable that’s not showing any signs of fraying? Why? Replace a motor just Becaused it’s fifteen years old? It may well last another fifteen. They often do. Garage door systems are not Fragile things because they’re engineered not to be. But wait, there’s more! I got a kick out of the way the “Options” are presented on the little tablet screen. A cursory glance caught some insane price that exceeded Three thousand dollars. Come on. Really? I requested a spring adjustment. Some of us out here in garage Land may have the feeling we’re being played when we see stuff like this. I understand the desire to make a Buck. But the possibility exists that you may be pushing a mite too hard. Some of us still adhere to the old Axiom, If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

I called because I saw your ad on TV. I called a local door company and they quoted me $450.00 to replace both tension springs, (1 was broken) but I had to wait until Friday. My truck was stuck inside the garage. Your technician quoted me $885.00. I refused the repair. I called another local company and they arrived in an hour and a half a replaced both springs for $500.00. I’m sorry but I can’t pay you $400.00 more than the next guy.

On Saturday, May 30th our garage door opener just failed - the door would not operate with the opener. Based on a previous good experience with Precision Garage Door (broken spring) I called, expecting that I might have to wait a few days. But I was pleasantly surprised when the scheduler was able to set ap an appointment for the following day. On Sunday, May 31st we received a message that our repair technician, Mr. Chung Yu Li was on the way. When he arrived, I found him to be very friendly and articulate. After hearing my explanation of our problem, he explained his process and began a thorough examination of our garage door as well as the motor and related components. Then he went through his observations, pointing out issues relating to the door (rollers, bearings, etc.) as well as issues related to the opener (motor, safety sensors). Then he presented his recommendations for what should be replaced and gave us an exact price quotation. I accepted the quote and he proceeded to perform the indicated work, all done within the time frame specified. With the refurbished door and the new motor, everything works more smoothly than ever. I am a happy camper!

I chose Precision because they would come out on Sunday. After receiving their quote, I declined the service. The technician, who I found very courteous, initially gave me 3 quotes ranging from $1900 to $3000+. When I questioned the need for all that work he quoted a little over $1000 just to get the door to open and close manually. From experience I know these quotes were way way out of line. Before leaving he asked what I would be willing to pay! I said I don't do business that way. When I reached the person who did repairs on my door in the past, he diagnosed the issue and quoted a price way, way less. Buyer beware.

He was very professional in assessing my situation with my garage door and was able to give me (4) options on repairing and servicing my damaged garage door. Had an older malfunctioning opener. Identified the problem and installed a new Genie opener quickly and efficiently. Our tech was very good, personable and knowledgeable. Offered some options, didn't oversell and had the new opener working in under 2 hours. I would definitely use Precision again and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Overall I am happy with the work that was done, but dont appreciate that the technician was trying to upsale me to spend a lot more money. All I needed was the springs replaced but he wanted me to have a new garage door installed too for an extra $700.

Our garage door broke on Friday night and we were able to get a tech out here by 1030. Chung Yu Li was our tech. He was very professional and showed me 3 options to fix the door. He was very quick and friendly. Our garage door is so quiet now I can't believe it. I've been wanting to fix it for years. It's amazing.
